Scientific Basis
Visually explore the scientific foundations supporting the platform's results and potentials.
What is it
The Scientific Knowledge Base brings together the articles and technical reports supporting the platform's data. Each metric used in potential calculations is grounded in auditable bibliographic references available for direct consultation. In addition, the section features two comparative analysis tools among the residues studied in PILAR-2b: • Degradation Curves: analysis of methane production kinetics over time. • Multi-parameter Comparison: direct contrast between key indicators, such as BMP, C:N, VS, and CH₄ content.
What is it for
• Ensure transparency and methodological rigor: confirms the scientific sources supporting the final potential calculation. • Support new research: serves as a structured database for advanced studies in biogas and bioproducts. • Streamline comparative diagnostics: allows evaluating the performance and physicochemical characteristics of different waste types.
How to use
1. Explore References: On the main screen, select one of the 40 residues distributed across 4 economic sectors to access the 'Chemical Characterization' section and view its bibliographic references. 2. Analyze Degradation Kinetics: Access the 'Degradation Kinetics' tab, select up to 6 residues simultaneously, and view methane production behavior over days. 3. Make Direct Comparisons: In the 'Interactive Comparison' tab, cross-reference multiple operational and chemical parameters among the selected residues.
