Interactive Map
Visually explore the biogas potential in each municipality of São Paulo.
What is it
The Interactive Map presents the geographic distribution of the estimated production potential of biomass, biogas, biomethane, and bioenergy from urban, livestock, agricultural, or forestry organic waste across the municipalities of the State of São Paulo (canonical base) and, as a beta in validation, those of Minas Gerais, with options for total and per capita potential. The displayed potential is broken down by the source of each part of the total potential, distinguishing across all waste classes. In addition to potential, the tool allows visualizing the infrastructure of the State of São Paulo (biogas plants, ethanol mills, electrical substations, etc.), logistics elements, and site constraints.
What is it for
• Identify regions with higher energy potential density; • Cross-reference data with the location of active infrastructure in the State; • Support feasibility studies for new academic research or ventures in the renewable energy sector.
How to use
